What is an inode?Last Modified: Dec 15, 2013, 7:12 pm
With the release of DirectAdmin 1.44.0 and newer, DirectAdmin can now track and limit indoes:

What is an inode?
Each file and folder under a User account is an inode.
Having a limit on inodes in DirectAdmin prevents a runaway User from having too many of them.

Just like large files, many small files can also tax the file system, as each file/folder needs to be stored somewhere.
